Semuto Kapeeka Value Supply Chain Development Company Limited (VASUCHADE) is two facet like a coin. One side, VASUCHADE is a Registered Company Limited by Guarantee while on the other side VASUCHADE is a Registered NGO with the aim of uplifting the Peoples’ standard of living by involving them as active stake holders participating in attaining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. Subsequently, VASUCHADE, as an NGO, we are not providing activities for our own objectives and values.  However, we are continuously searching and researching for needs in society and solving problems with the preferential option for the poor /or the “Hoi Polloi”  while using the integral approach to the development of the human person and restoring his/her dignity.  Our approach therefore is not limited to material poverty but encompasses: the environmental setting, the cultural and spiritual poverty as well.

As a Company Limited by Guarantee:

Semuto Kapeeka Value Supply Chain Development Company Limited is a registered Company with a Certificate of Incorporation /Registration under section 18(3) of the Companies Act 2012 and incorporated into a Limited Liability on the 26th day of September 2018 with Registration No: 80020001252549.

In order to uplift the peoples’ standards of living or and livelihoods, our Company aims at empowering the grassroots communities by slowly but surely changing their attitude from the traditional “mindset” like living barely for their stomachs, or of hand to mouth to active reasoning by constantly questioning their environment, culture, religious beliefs, means of production, transforming them to become active participants in those day today activities like: Income Generating Activities (IGAs), Business, Trade, Politics, Economics, Public Health, Social Welfare, Technologies, so that they stop being timid or just “onlookers” or beggars or laggards living in such a beautiful country full of resources. My beautiful mother country Uganda which the legendary Prime Minister of United Kingdom, Winston Churchill once described in his famous book entitled: “My African Journey” as: “The pearl of Africa” (Winston Churchill, 1908). A country full of great natural beauty whereby the country side is ever green throughout the year with plentiful water and rolling hills. It is miraculously the real Source of the Nile, at Jinja, east of Kampala, and currently the sanctuary of the Gorillas in Western Uganda in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in South Western Uganda at the footstall of the beautiful Rwenzori Mountain (the Mountain of the Moon). A country which God gave us to pacify.  “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground” (Genesis 1:28).

As an NGO:

As an NGO we are here to promote: water and sanitation, hygiene, health, environmental protection, social, advocacy, human rights work, social and political change at all levels. It is therefore our duty to play a critical part in developing our society, improving communities, and promoting citizen participation.

It is one of our objectives to contribute to the economic development of developing countries through evolving both the macro and micro economics. Our Company provides services to society through welfare works for community development, assistance in national disasters, sustainable system development, and popular movements.

Since the majority of our population is still living in rural setting and mainly depending on agriculture, our emphasis is manifested in rural development through agricultural development as well as participating in implementing those policies that aims at creating impact or lasting impression.  It is our aim therefore to help in building and advocating for a self-reliant and sustainable society. Our niche is to explore the Value Addition and Supply Chain Development of agricultural products mainly Coffee and Cocoa.  By doing so, our Company is playing an active role of being the mediator between the People and the Government.  This is mainly done at both the local and international markets by actively promoting: Regional Market Integration, and International Trade at large.

However, as a Company, we are here to do business.  The term “VASUCHADE” is our trademark and brand. As a Company, we ensure that; our people especially those at the grassroots communities at large actively participate in the Value Addition Chain as well as the Supply Chain Management and Development.  By Value Addition Chain or Value Chain per se, we intend to refer to the process in which businesses receive raw materials, add value to them through production, manufacturing, and other processes to create a finished product, and then sell the finished product to consumers. It is the intention of our Company, therefore, to make it a business for every Ugandan and Africa at large, to actively engage himself or herself within the production line of every consumable product or service. Commensurate Consequently, everyone must identify his or her role as a business enterprise where he or she can ably gain as a lucrative business within the value addition chain development.

Subsequently, if one fails in the Value Chain, then he or she must find his or her role within the Supply Chain which chain represents the steps it takes to get the product or service to the customer.

It is within this ambit that our Company is going to play the role of both the vertical and horizontal integration of making the two chain yield for the maximum benefit of every Ugandan and African at large.  Henceforth, while a supply chain involves all parties in fulfilling a customer request and leading to customer satisfaction, our Company endevours to see to it that the value chain maintains herself as a set of interrelated activities each company uses to create a competitive advantage. Once this is achieved at the micro level let us take as example at the household, many people will become employed with the production line as jobs will automatically be identified at each level of the value addition chain.  Subsequently, slowly but surely, our beloved country Uganda and Africa at large, shall automatically achieve her competitive advantage at the international level. This is owed to the fact that each value addition within the Value Chain creates a competitive advantage which in the long run contributes to overall “National Competitive Advantage”.  Once this Value Chain is achieved, it automatically boosts our export for value, outset the trade imbalance as by now our exports will be having greater value than the imports thus improving our balance of payment and offsetting our deficit thus balancing our books of accounting.
